What P/A Journal Is
P/A Journal is an independent research and peer-review initiative publishing original philosophical and scientific research with transparent audit records, traceable review operations, and explicit documentation of limitations and revisions.
P/A Journal is an institutional initiative of P/A Institute, an independent research organization based in Tokyo. It operates as a distinct institutional identity within the same research network.
Why It Exists
Independent philosophical and scientific research often lacks appropriate infrastructure for transparent review, traceable audit, and documented revision. P/A Journal is designed to provide this infrastructure without requiring institutional affiliation or replicating the gatekeeping structures of traditional academic publishing.
The goal is not to imitate established journals but to develop a review and audit process that is more transparent, more traceable, and more honest about what review does and does not establish.
Institutional Development
P/A Journal is currently in its founding stage. The current phase supports:
- Original research publications with audit records
- Transparent editorial and internal audit
- External manuscript review requests
- Documentation of review operations, limitations, and revisions
The architecture is designed for expansion into a larger independent peer-review institution without requiring a rebuild of the infrastructure.
